Roll of Honour - Second World War 1939-1947
This section provides details of all those men of the Worcestershire Regiment who gave their lives in the Second World War and the period just after (covering the period 1939 to 1947). The Worcestershire Regiment lost 82 officers and 931 other ranks (total 1013) between 1939 to 1947. The average age of those who lost their lives was just 26 years. Of the total men who died 966 were killed in action or died of wounds. By far the greatest losses were between 1944-45 when 555 lost their lives.
