Private Frederick John Harris (15649) - 9th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment
Enlisted in the Worcestershire Regiment on the 4th September 1914 at Gloucester (age 21 years 4 months). Initially posted to the 10th Battalion, but on the 25th September 1914 he was transferred to the 9th Battalion. Served with the 9th Battalion in Gallipoli and Mesopotamia. Wounded 5th April 1915 (gun shot wound to right leg). In September 1916 He was ill with Malaria. On the 26th April 1919 he was admitted to Horton War Hospital, Epsom to convalescence and was discharged on the 3rd June 1919 (age 25).
