Commanding Officers of the 1st (Reserve) Garrison Battalion
 
The 1st (Reserve) Garrison Battalion was formed at Fort Monckton, Portsmouth on the 4th January 1916. The unit was stationed at Portsmouth, Ryde and Dublin. It was finally absorbed into the 5th (Special Reserve) Battalion at Dublin and disbanded on the 23rd July 1919.
