The Reverend James O'Callaghan was killed at the village of Zubza by enemy mortar fire on Tuesday 11th April 1944 (age 37).
Lieut.-Colonel R. V. C. Cavendish, M.C. (Sherwood Forrester officer) commanded the 7th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment from October 1941 to August 1942. 
In peace time the ship 'Reina del Pacifico' carried luxury tourist traffic visiting South American ports. The 7th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment embarked from Liverpool on the 11th April 1942.
