As a consequence of collecting medals to the Worcesters, I have become the proud owner of 2 Solid Silver Bayonet Tips for use when trooping the colours. They fit over the bayonet tip to protect the flags. They are in a fitted case, although there is room for 3. They both have the Regimental Crest engraved and one is also engraved 'Presented by Lt. Col. S A Gabb OBE MC 1937'. They have Birmingham hallmarks for 1937. Does anyone know how many of these were made, how often they were used or any other information?
Trick. (Still looking for Chantler Medals).
